Our Experience
Antares is perfectly positioned to provide network management services to our clients. The Medical Mutual organization, to which Antares belongs and provides infrastructural and processing services, administers $2 billion of annual claims payments. In addition, Antares developed an intricate system of capturing the maximum amount of contractually allowed payment discounts through these network partners, a system named National Network Hierarchy (NNH). This helps our clients to contend against medical inflation.
Antares has been providing PPO Network Management services since 1997 and has access to more than 125 PPO networks, including all of the major national networks. Through our combined membership, we accept discounted access fees and are able to pass on net savings to our clients.
We also are connected to our networks electronically, allowing for higher accuracy, quicker turnaround and more efficient management. We receive PPO database updates on a monthly basis and load the information within approximately 24 hours.
Your Savings
A large percentage of our tertiary medical savings result from utilizing secondary networks and spot-bill negotiating services for claims that fall through our primary providers. These networks and services maintain no logo requirements for obtaining discounts, which is outlined clearly in the executed agreements with our network partners and participating providers. Specific language outlining the discount calculation is provided to clients for insertion into the payment explanation accompanying the provider checks. Providers have agreed to accept payment and are prohibited from balance billing our clients' members.
